You can switch between formats anytime in your taya3657 account settings. Here's how each one works.
Decimal Odds — The Filipino Bettor's Favourite
Decimal odds are the default format at taya3657, and honestly, once you use them you'll wonder why anyone uses anything else. The number you see — say 2.10 — is your total return per peso staked, profit included.
Formula: Potential Return = Stake × Decimal Odds
Example: You bet ₱500 on San Miguel Beermen at odds of 2.10. If they win, your total payout is ₱500 × 2.10 = ₱1,050. That's ₱550 profit on a ₱500 stake.
Odds of 1.00 would mean no profit at all — a dead certainty. Anything above 2.00 means you more than double your money. Most taya3657 market lines for competitive PBA matchups sit between 1.70 and 2.30.
Implied probability in decimal format: (1 ÷ Decimal Odds) × 100. So 2.10 implies roughly 47.6% probability that the bookmaker assigned to that outcome.
Fractional Odds — Common in UK and Horse Racing
Fractional odds look like 11/10 or 5/2. The number on the left is how much profit you make for every unit on the right that you bet. So 5/2 means you win ₱5 for every ₱2 wagered.
Formula: Profit = Stake × (Numerator ÷ Denominator)
Example: You bet ₱1,000 at 5/2. Profit = ₱1,000 × (5÷2) = ₱2,500 profit, so total return is ₱3,500 (your ₱1,000 stake back plus ₱2,500 profit).
You'll encounter fractional odds less often on taya3657's main sportsbook interface, but it's available for bettors who prefer this format — particularly for horse racing markets where it's the traditional standard.
Converting to decimal is easy: divide top by bottom, add 1. So 5/2 = (5÷2) + 1 = 3.50 in decimal.
American (Moneyline) Odds — Common for NBA, NFL, MLB
American odds use a plus (+) or minus (−) sign. Negative means favourite, positive means underdog. The numbers tell you how much you need to bet to win ₱100 (negative) or how much you win on a ₱100 bet (positive).
Favourite example: Odds of -150 means you wager ₱150 to win ₱100 profit. Total return: ₱250.
Underdog example: Odds of +130 means a ₱100 bet wins ₱130 profit. Total return: ₱230.
taya3657 supports American odds display for NBA and NFL markets, where many Filipino bettors are already familiar with this format. You can always toggle to decimal in your account for a cleaner comparison across all markets.
To convert American odds to decimal: for positives, (Odds ÷ 100) + 1. For negatives, (100 ÷ |Odds|) + 1. So +130 → 2.30 and −150 → 1.67.
